TASER’s “Peel and Stick” Technology May Soon Control Riots
RoboCop may really debut in the 21st Century. Furthermore, blasting away with TASERs may not be needed in the near future, either.
Taser International’s latest development was introduced in May of this year. The groundbreaking Taser Repel Laminate Film Technology is, once again, at the leading edge of non-lethal weaponry worldwide.
The Taser Shield Conversion kit “features a peel and stick perforated film power supply, and necessary conversion equipment. This laminate becomes electrified providing a powerful deterrent to protect officers and keep suspects or rioters at bay.”
Taser International is demonstrating all manner of new gear at the Office of Law Enforcement Technology Commercialization's Mock Prison Riot. The fete is an annual event held on the grounds of the former West Virginia Penitentiary in Moundsville. It is a very popular showcase featuring new technology for law enforcement and correctional institution personnel.
According to Taser International, the “peel and stick” zapping film will not be available for purchase until later on this year. The days of the “Electronic Policeman” may well be upon us. Electronic gauntlets and squad car door handles may well be added to the stun baton and TASER C2.
It doesn’t take much brainpower to imagine other possible applications for zapper film. How about applying deterrent film to the refrigerator? And just think of the training implications for dogs and children: Stay away from the fence. Leave the car alone. Don’t urinate on the prize rose bushes.
Anyone whose housemate has a tendency to borrow personal items might wish to apply the zapper film to closet doorknobs, designated kitchen cupboards, and favorite CDs.
The possibilities are endless!
