Vagrant Backs Down From Mini Stun Gun
A 60 year old woman, who was considering purchasing a house in a quiet neighborhood in a western Florida city, found a vagrant camping out in the laundry room behind the house.
When confronted, the man moved toward her, talking fast – explaining at first, then moving and talking in a threatening manner. In one hand she held her cell phone on which she had already punched the speed dial for 911. In the other hand she had mini stun gun which she held in front of her. She told him to back off. He kept moving toward her, edging around in such a way as to corner her.
The woman told him she had called the police and that they were on the way.
He kept coming.
“Back off,” she said.
He kept coming.
The next thing she did was a test firing – which has an ominous, electrical sight and sound.
He stared at the mini stun gun, then at her. “Look lady, I don’t want no trouble. You don’t need to use that thing on me. I’ll just get my stuff and leave.”
“You do that and I won’t need to use this on you. The law is already on its way here, so I suggest you get all your stuff and get a move on,” he said, as he turned to gather his belongings.
She backed toward the only avenue of escape. Just as she turned to run, a cruiser roared up into the driveway. The authorities took the vagrant into custody before turning to interview the woman.
“He just kept coming toward me until he saw this.” She held up the stun gun and pressed the button for a test firing.
One of the officers grinned and said, “I wouldn’t want to tangle with that, either. Good job ma’am.”
