Stun Gun For Sale Plus Drugs Gets Man Arrested
In Spring Township police confiscated a stun gun for sale, in addition to a couple of handguns, marijuana, cocaine and Ecstasy. Law enforcement officers hadn’t even counted all the cash and pills before arresting Jerry Alvarez, a smug nineteen-year old who not only possessed controlled substances, he also manufactured, warehoused, and delivered them. It is against the law to possess a controlled or counterfeit substance, as well as deliver controlled substances. He was also arrested for “intending to use drug paraphernalia.”
The arrest follows a month long investigation by local authorities. It seems that Alvarez was running quite an operation. The investigation was sniffed out with the help of K-9 officers. The narcotics division officers also participated in putting together enough evidence to take Mr. Alvarez into custody. He was taken to Berks County Prison in lieu of coming up with $100,000 bail.
