New Bon Voyage Present: A Stun Gun

When pals of Vernon White helped him pack to return to his home in Leith, they added a little going away gift which British authorities did not like. His friends became extremely concerned about his safety after hearing about a double stabbing in his area of town. Therefore, they got enough cash together to buy him a stun gun, a non lethal weapon which delivers enough voltage to temporarily disable someone.

The plan was working well – right up until he tried to make it past alert customs agents who searched his luggage, then promptly arrested him for attempting to bring a weapon into the country.

In 2002 Mr. White fled Zimbabwe, fearing for his life after Robert Mugabe’s regime resulted in ripping White from his home. Since that time, the seventy-three year old man has been living in Leith, a suburb of Edinburgh, Scotland.
