Three Men in Hartford Area Subdued With Police Stun Guns

Since the use of stun guns is the order of the day in many jurisdictions it is no surprise that the incident rate of usage is climbing across the country. However, in a thinly populated part of the country eyebrows went up when three men were exposed to the discomfort of high tech voltage in three separate situations.

Police forces nationwide are re-evaluating their positions on the use of non lethal weapons as they are observing the opportunities for interventions before resorting to deadly force. As a result, TASERs and other varieties of stun guns are showing up on the utility belts of law enforcement officers. They are finding that stun guns, which can include batons and compact units in addition to TASERs, are extremely useful in defusing situations before they escalate to the point where deadly force is needed.
