Antonio Morales learned, in an up close and personal way, just how effective a Taser can be. Morales had three outstanding arrest warrants and was wanted for spousal battery, along with a couple other charges. Deputies were dispatched to an apartment building in response to complaints about an intoxicated man.

Morales, 40, who is employed as a construction worker, appeared to be very intoxicated. The sheriff’s office also stated that he appeared to be a danger to himself. He chose to fight with the deputies that responded to the call. One deputy ended up using his Taser on Mr. Morales.

Morales was placed under arrest after the Taser use allowed deputies to get complete control of the situation. As is standard procedure when a Taser is used, Morales was taken to a nearby hospital where he was checked out. The hospital gave him medical clearance. Mr. Morales was then taken to jail to face the many charges against him.
