Stun Gun Drops Ohio State Lineman
Super Bowl Sunday is one day a year when you can bet that there are parties and get togethers going on in homes across America. Some get more rowdy than others; there is no doubt about that. Unfortunately, some parties include a lot of drinking which can lead to other issues. This past Super Bowl Sunday a stun gun had to be used to subdue an Ohio State University linebacker.
Alex Boone, a healthy 312 pound linebacker was subjected to a stun sun when he chose to resist arrest. The 6 foot 8 inch college student had attended a super bowl party and was intoxicated. He had been demonstrating erratic behavior.
A report came in that described a man, later identified as Boone, was on a destructive rampage. The report stated that the man was jumping on to the top of cars. He was apparently also hitting garage doors. Another report stated that Boone was trying to punch the window out of a tow truck. This is not the behavior of a sober college student.
When deputies arrived Alex Boone was not in the mood to cooperate. Initially, he attempted to leave, fleeing from the deputies. He was described as being uncooperative and threatening as well.
In order to get the big football player to cooperate the deputies had to use a stun gun. The intoxicated player was then taken to a local hospital, as is standard when a stun gun is needed. Boone was cleared and taken to jail where he was booked in on suspicion of resisting arrest. He posted bail and was released the next day.
