Food Fight, Lockdown, and Pepper Spray, One day in High School

You just never know what might unfold day to day. A food fight at a Spring ISD high school got too crazy and completely out of hand. Deputies were dispatched to the High School to help put a stop to it. Pepper Spray was added to the menu to get the fighting stopped.

It happened at Dekaney High School. As the fight gathered momentum the school was placed on lockdown. A appears as if there were a couple rounds to this fight. After the lunch time clash another round broke out during the seventh period of the day. This was when the police were called and dispatched to the scene.

In order to get the students to stop fighting, officers were forced to use pepper spray. Some students were hit directly and others fled simply from the fumes. The pepper spray quickly put a stop to the fighting that had been going on and off throughout the day.

Many parents have expressed concern at what appears to be gang issues in the high school. The use of the pepper spray by officers got a bad situation under control quickly. Hopefully, they will not be called on to repeat the process any time soon.

Pepper spray is a great option when it comes to a violent or out of control crowd of people. The spray and fumes often take the fight out of people in a hurry. It is possible to gain control with a minimal amount of spray. Often, just the threat of being hit with pepper spray will diffuse a situation.
