Tasers Stop Blood Thirsty Pit Bulls
Pit bulls are beautiful and strong but they can quickly turn vicious and blood thirsty. This week, there have been two stories in the news giving perfect examples of these powerful beasts and how their attacks were stopped with Tasers.
In a story from Brunswick, Maryland, a pit bull had gotten out of hand and attacked the dog next door. This attack was so violent that the chocolate Lab was killed. The police were called when the attack happened and when the police arrived the pit bull hadn’t started to behave any better.
The officer who showed up on the scene found the pit bull chewing on the Lab’s neck, and then it started to drag the corpse across the front yard. When the pit bull looked up and noticed the officer, it began to charge. Thankfully, the officer had a Taser. The officer fired the Taser on the dog, stopping the charge.
Days later, the dog was put to sleep by its owner due to extremely violent acts.
In another story, a pit bull was actually used as a weapon.
The police had finally found a man who was wanted for felony charges. But when the police showed up to arrest him, the man released his pit bull to attack the officers. Seeing the pending threat, an officer pulled his Taser and fired on the dog. This incapacitated the pit bull, saving the officer from a violent attack. The man was arrested and charged with suspicion of use of a deadly weapon.
While these pit bulls were definitely deadly, not all pit bulls are. But when they do get out of hand, having a Taser isn’t a luxury; it is a necessity.
