Blind Woman Does Great Job Teaching Self Defense

Jennifer Resler is truly an inspiration. She is doing amazing work because she is helping to teach self defense to people. This may not sound amazing but it really is. Why? Because Jennifer Resler is blind.

Jennifer Resler wasn’t blind her whole life, but she did have visually impaired siblings. Then Jennifer was diagnosed with a disease that led to her own blindness at a very young age. But she hasn’t let it hinder her life. She is still a vital part of her community. She has learned to make a living and has even been giving back to the world.

Thanks to the help of some kind people at sight center, she adapted to a life of being blind very well. She finished high school and then transitioned to college.

Twelve years ago, Jennifer started to learn martial arts. Now, Resler teaches self defense and helps teach Korean style Karate to women and children. She also gives classes about being safe in general. The world is a very dangerous place, especially if you are blind. That is why it is so amazing that Jennifer Resler is doing such a great job and working with people the way that she is.

While Jennifer can’t see people around her, she can still get a feel for how they behave. Since she has learned martial arts, and especially since she helps teach them, she is very confident in herself. This confidence alone and detour an assailant.

Jennifer Resler is proof that no matter the difficulties that life hands us, they can still be overcome and we can still rise above and become good people.
