Pepper Spray Saves Woman from Attacker, But What about Pizza Deliverers?

I love reading news stories like this one. It is so encouraging to hear of people using pepper spray to stop an attacker. No one deserves to be a victim. That is why I think it is so great when people are able to defend themselves against the villains that roam the earth, even if the villains are just muggers.

It was nearly midnight in Richmond, Virginia and an 18 year old woman was walking to her car. Then an older man approached her and tried to steal her backpack. When he punched her, she used the pepper spray that she had. She sprayed the man and made her escape to safety.

Sadly, the police haven’t yet caught the man responsible for the assault. The young lady had a few scrapes and bruises, but other than that she was alright.

This story illustrates how effective pepper spray can be against an attacker. But there is a group of people that I think should especially be armed with pepper spray. You may think it is weird, but pizza deliverers should have pepper spray.

Recently in Ohio there was a pizza deliverer who was sitting in his car. He had to drive off quickly because he saw a man approaching him with a gun. Pizza delivery people get robbed a lot more than you would think.

It wasn’t too long ago that I read a story about a pizza deliverer that was attacked by three men. He ended up severely beaten.

If pepper spray can work for an 18 year old woman defending herself from an attacker, I think that it could work well for pizza delivery people as well.
