Stun Gun Helps Get Two Drunks Off the Streets

Everyone knows that driving under the influence of alcohol is dangerous, yet some people do it anyway. This puts everyone’s lives and property at risk. Sometimes drunk drivers behave so erratic that the police need to use stun guns to subdue them. Here are two prime examples from the state of Michigan.

A man had been drinking and driving his girlfriend’s car, when he wrecked it. He got out of the vehicle and fled towards his home. The police found the car and contacted his girlfriend about it. She told him that he had shown up at the house, drunk and suicidal. She told them that he had already seriously hurt himself.

The police showed up and the man’s girlfriend let the police in the house. When they tried to arrest the man, he put up a fight and they had to use a stun gun on him.

He was taken to a hospital where he remained in serious condition due to his self inflicted wounds.

In another story, a Battle Creek man had been driving his car after he had been drinking heavily. As he drove down the street, he ran into three parked cars. All of the damage caused the owners of the cars to become outraged and somehow a big fight started.

When the police showed up, they found that the intoxicated man who had caused it all was slinking away. When they tried to arrest him, he put up a fight and started yelling threats at the police. Since he was resisting arrest, the police used a stun gun to subdue him.

The stun guns helped keep the officers safe, as well as the suspects. They also helped get these drunks off the streets.
