Stun Gun Used on Man Who Robbed a House and Killed a Dog
The police in Fayetteville, North Carolina did a very good thing. They used a stun gun on a man who needed to be stopped. Thanks to the stun gun, the police were able to subdue him long enough to bring him into custody.
Patrick Earl Gaston had been breaking the law. Only a couple of weeks before his arrest, Gaston had allegedly broken into a house to rob it. While inside, the family’s dog had tried to defend the home but was unsuccessful. The intruder had a gun. The dog was shot and soon after, it died.
When I read about this, I became very upset. I love animals, and I am very glad that the police finally caught him. The dog was just trying to defend the family and the household that he was a part of.
The police tracked Patrick Gaston down to a hotel in Fayetteville that he had been staying in. When they tried to arrest him, Gaston put up a fight and attacked three of detectives. Apparently, he had ingested several grams of cocaine. A single gram of cocaine is a lot for one person to have at once. Several grams obviously put him into a violent frenzy.
The detectives needed to subdue Gaston, so they used a stun gun on him. They were then able to put some handcuffs on him and get him into the police cruiser. He was later taken to the hospital because of the amount of cocaine he had consumed.
Thanks to a stun gun, this violent, thieving, drug fiend was subdued and taken off of the streets in a safe manner.
