Pepper Spray Stops Possible Meth Cooker
When an officer of the law pulls someone over, he can never be sure if he is going to have to use pepper spray or not. It could be a routine stop, or it could lead to a chase on foot. Police officers need to be ready for anything. Luckily, Officer Brian James of the Bloomington, Indiana police department was prepared.
Officer James was driving through the streets of Bloomington when he saw someone take a left turn at a red light. He pulled them over and when he asked the driver for a driver’s license, he found that they had none. But the driver told Officer James that his name was John Harlow.
When James went back to his car to run Harlow’s name, Harlow jumped out of his car and made a run for it. James chased after Harlow as fast as he could. Harlow tried to hide in an air conditioner enclosure. But when James came closer, Harlow decided to make a run for it again.
Officer James had his pepper spray out and used it on Harlow. James was then able to arrest Harlow. After searching him, James found a bunch of pseudoephedrine, which is a main ingredient in methamphetamine. The amount that he had on him was way over the amount that most people have in their medicine cabinets.
Thanks to pepper spray and an officer who was ready to handle the situation, a possible meth cooker was caught. He was caught safely and since he won’t be making any drugs, the world will be a much safer place for all of us.
