NFL Wide Receiver Catches Zap from a TASER

Just because you may be a football star doesn’t mean you can act however you want. It also doesn’t mean that you can do drugs and get away with it. Reggie Williams of the Jaguars found this out recently. He also found out what it is like to get zapped by a TASER.

The NFL wider receiver had been dining at a restaurant in Houston but was asked to leave after he became disorderly. The reason he got upset wasn’t released so we’re not sure if it was the service or the food that upset him. But no matter the cause of his rude behavior, when he was asked to leave, he refused to.

It was at this point that the restaurant security got involved. Security that night was provided by two off-duty Houston officers. When things got out of hand, the officers were forced to pull out a TASER and zap Williams. He was then arrested and that is when he really got in trouble.

After arresting Williams, the police found nearly a half gram of cocaine in his possession. Maybe Mr. Williams wasn’t aware of it, but cocaine is a controlled substance and his possession of it was illegal.

Usually when people get caught up in the life of a star, they fall victim to influences that are destructive. Because of this incident, the Jaguars will not have Williams as their wide receiver this next year. I hope his experience with the TASER will shock some sense into him. Hopefully he will leave the drugs behind and find his way back to a healthy lifestyle.
