Pepper Spray Ends Domestic Disturbance
Relationships can be hard. But there are boundaries that must be respected, both during and after the relationship. Sometimes when boundaries are crossed, the police may have to get involved. And if the police get involved and you don’t comply, they may have to use some pepper spray.
Vincent Ball found this out when he arrived at his partner’s house. Apparently they hadn’t been getting along very well, possibly due to Ball being unemployed, though that information was never released. At any rate, his partner didn’t want him around the house.
Ball refused to leave the house however and so the police were called. When the police showed up, they escorted Ball away from the house. Once the police were gone however, Mr. Ball went right back to the house.
The police were called again and when they went into the house to get Ball, they found him hiding behind the couch. They again escorted Mr. Ball away from the house and told him not to come back. They also told him that if he came back a third time, they would arrest him.
Mr. Ball didn’t like that idea. He tensed up and acted as though he was preparing to hit one of the officers. Then he started to run and the police followed. When they caught up to him, Ball took a fighting stance and started to come at the police. Seeing that he was now a threat, the police used pepper spray to subdue him. He was then placed under arrest.
While Mr. Ball may have been under emotional stress, he still shouldn’t have tried to attack police. Since he did, police were justified to use pepper spray because he crossed yet another boundary.
