Football Player Stopped with a Stun Gun
Football fans may be familiar with the Buffalo Bills’ wide receiver, Donte Whitner. Well, recently he got into a bit of trouble with the law and they needed to use a stun gun to get him to comply. Hopefully, that won’t affect his game too much, though I hope it affects his behavior.
Whitner had been attending a birthday party for Tedd Ginn, Jr., the wide receiver for the Miami dolphins. The party had taken place at the House of Blues in Cleveland, but in the early morning hours a fight had broken out in the bar.
The police arrived and as they were entering, Whitner was trying to burst passed them. Allegedly he told them that he was headed outside because his cousin was out there, and his cousin had guns. The police obviously wanted to put a stop to that line of thought because it was headed nowhere good.
They tried to stop him physically, but he was very determined. So, the police pulled out a stun gun and used it on Whitner. That stopped him. He was arrested on charges of aggravated disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Parties can be fun, but when the fighting starts things go downhill fast, especially if booze has been involved. What is worse is when drunken people decide to bring guns into the equation. Thankfully though, the police put a stop to the situation with a stun gun before the guns could be brought out.
Not only did the stun gun save people’s lives by keeping the situation from escalating further, but may also save Whitner’s career as well.
