Self Defense and Self Respect Go Hand-in-Hand
Now-a-Days people are trying to do more to improve their health. They are trying new diets and even using pills to lose weight. They are also working on different techniques to get into shape. Some women are learning self defense, which is a smart and healthy choice in this unpredictable world.
Fitness Boot Camps help everyday folks lose weight, get in shape, and learn a few things about self defense. These Fitness Boot Camps are aimed at women, although men can join in, too. These fitness and self defense programs help women to lose weight, build muscle and learn self defense techniques that could save their lives.
The women in these so-called boot camps run for an hour, five days a week, and must do this for four to six weeks. They also learn some basic hand-to-hand combat. The combination of running and self defense moves can really come in handy. If attacked, the women are trained to defend themselves, then to run to safety. With practice, this becomes an easy thing to do.
The women get to train outside in the rain and the mud. This provides a different environment to learn in. It’s definitely an out-of-gym experience. Although waking up at 5:30 in the morning isn’t on everyone’s favorite-thing-to-do list, it builds character. Women can work out before the kids get up and be ready to face the day, as well as whatever the world dishes out.
At these Fitness Boot Camps women can gain strength and muscle, as well as self confidence and some self defense moves. Women are no longer being pushed around. They can defend themselves and be proud to be a woman.
