Man Used TASER on Wife in Self Defense
Divorce is a frightening word to hear. A divorce means finding a lawyer, finding out where the kids are going, who is going to get what. It can also turn into a battle. Verbal fights erupt and sometimes lead to physical fighting. This happened with one couple and a TASER was needed for protection.
A man used a TASER on his soon-to-be ex-wife to stop her from beating him more.
John Palmore and Khadeja Palmore were married for three years but are now separated and in the process of getting a divorce.
Trouble started when John Palmore called the police at 4:30 am to report that someone had broken into his house. He told the police that he believed that his ex-wife broke into his house, stole his microwave oven and his clothes.
Later that day, John came home and the front door was locked. He walked around to the sliding glass door. As he entered, his soon to be ex-wife, Khadeja, punched him in the nose. Mr. Palmore told Khadeja that he had a TASER but it didn’t stop her from coming at him. He used the TASER to stop her from hurting him further.
When the police arrived, Khadeja was arrested for assault and battery. She said she didn’t remember hitting him, but the evidence was there on his face.
Divorce can get ugly, but it shouldn’t get this ugly. People shouldn’t have to defend themselves with TASERs like that. Unfortunately, that’s just how it goes sometimes. Thankfully, though, this man had a TASER to defend himself. Let’s just hope for his sake that he doesn’t lose it in the divorce process.
