Stun Gun Kept Ex-NBA Star from Going Supernova
You know, having a lot of money and a history in professional sports doesn’t mean that life is peachy. Sometimes, people who have lives like that also have a lot of problems. Unfortunately it can get to a point where they just don’t want it anymore and they try to leave their responsibilities behind. One former NBA player planned on doing this, but a stun gun was used to stop him.
You may have already heard about it, but if not, I’ll tell you. Not long ago, Jayson Williams was in the middle of a lot of heartache. He was in the middle of a divorce from his wife. He had to go back to court for killing someone. Life just wasn’t going well at all.
Williams decided that it would be better to end his own life instead of face his problems. So, he rented a hotel suite and pondered his problems. He wrote out a note and had a bunch of pills together, ready to end it all. He worked himself into such a suicidal frenzy that he started to trash his hotel room!
Other guest in the hotel heard the commotion and called the police. When they arrived, they couldn’t calm Williams down, so they were forced to use a stun gun to subdue him. They put two pairs of cuffs on him and took him to the hospital, then a psychiatric clinic.
It wasn’t released whether he took the pills or not, but the bottles were reported empty among several suicide notes. Fortunately for him, Williams wasn’t charged with any crime.
Life may get rough, but you just have to keep going. If you don’t, a stun gun may be used to shock some sense into you.
