Stun Gun Used to Stop a Series of Pointless Robberies
On May 1st, in Tucson, Arizona two odd robberies were committed by a group of thugs. One of the robbers walked into a Walgreens and told the person working there that he had a gun with him. However, the only thing that he wanted to steal was a bottle of rubbing alcohol.
Just a few minutes later that same car full of men arrived at a 24 hour gas station. Again, a man told the attendant there that he had a gun on him, but all he wanted to take from the gas station were 2 cappuccinos.
The police were called on both occasions and both reports gave a description of the car. Eventually they found the car and pulled it over. They demanded that the three men inside step out of the car. Only two of the three men stepped out of the car, but Daniel Gamez was left sitting in the vehicle. He refused the officers demands and stayed inside the car for approximately 25 minutes and was holding what officers thought was a gun to his neck.
The police broke one of the windows and dropped in a pepper ball which then drove Gamez out of the car. When the police attempted to apprehend him, Gamez put up a struggle and was then subdued with a stun gun.
Why these guys wanted to steal rubbing alcohol and coffee remains a mystery. But it doesn’t matter what you steal, you will get in trouble. If you put up a fight, the police just may have to use a stun gun on you.
