Man Kills Woman and Two Children, Claims Self Defense

When an attacker is a real threat to your life and there is no other option, then I believe that killing another human being is justified. However, many people who kill others often say that they were defending themselves when they really weren’t. While there is such a thing as killing in self defense, this story is just ridiculous.

Curtis Young woke up one day, got dressed, and put a 9mm gun in his waistband. After receiving a call from Helen Moore, he went over to her house to help her with car troubles. They started to argue when he arrived and he eventually tried to leave, but Moore and her sister chased him all the way back to his house.

Moore, who was 9 months pregnant, had her kids in the car when they turned onto the street where Young lived. Young, who had gone inside, came out into the street where he planned on telling Moore to leave; or at least that’s what he is telling the courts.

As she drove towards him, he claims that he feared for his life because he thought she would run him over. So, instead of getting out of the way, Young pulled out his gun and fired a shot at the car full of innocent children. The bullet hit Moore in the neck and continued on to hit her 8 year old son in the head. The car hit the curb and flipped over. Moore, the baby that she was pregnant with, and her 8 year old son all died.

It sickens me when people abuse the system. This was not a case of self defense; it was a case of violence and poor choices.
