Suicidal Robber Stopped with TASER
Crime really doesn’t pay but people commit crimes anyway. Even though some people get caught multiple times for criminal activities, they continue their lives of crime. One man in Idaho recently committed a robbery and discovered that it really wasn’t worth it after he got shot with a TASER.
Forty-seven year old Richard Breen of Meridian, Idaho, was recently in Boise. While he was there, he followed through with a plan to rob a local hotel. He got his gun and held the place up. After getting the money, he fled in his van while the clerk called the police to make a report.
The police soon caught up with Breen and chased him. He eventually turned into a car dealership parking lot where he soon realized he was about to be caught. When he tried to backup to get out of the parking lot, he backed into two police cruisers. He knew that he was as good as caught.
Breen jumped out of his car and started screaming at the police. He was telling them to shoot him while waving his arms in the air. The police didn’t want to take his life, but he was acting too erratic to simply put cuffs on him and take him away. So, the police used a dog and a TASER in order to incapacitate him and arrest him.
We are currently living in hard economic times, but that is no reason to start committing robberies. This man discovered just what can happen when you break the law in order to survive. There are plenty of other means of survival than using terror and illegal means.
