TASER Wrangles in Pot Dealer
One of the dumbest things someone can do is flee from the police. There have been many high speed chases and nearly every single one of them ends badly for the suspect. One such chase recently ended when the police used a TASER gun on the fleeing suspect.
Renauld Harris had broken a traffic law and a police cruiser tried to pull him over at a gas station. Instead of pulling over and getting a ticket, Harris sped away. The officer, of course, followed him and a car chase ensued.
During the car chase, Harris reached speeds over 100 miles per hour with the police in hot pursuit. After the chase went on for a while with the law nipping at his heels, Harris decided that he should try to lose the cops on foot.
He soon stopped his car and jumped out. He started to run, but an officer soon caught up with him. Doing as he had been trained to do, the officer pulled out his TASER and shot the suspect with it. Harris dropped to the ground and soon had handcuffs around his wrists.
When the police searched his car, they found nearly a dozen bags of marijuana and over $2500! No wonder he didn’t want to be pulled over. Oddly enough, he may have gotten away with his drugs and his drug money if he had only acted innocent and settled for a traffic ticket.
The 24 year old may have learned his lesson or he may not have. Time will only tell. But I would assume that thanks to the TASER Harris had a shocking revelation and will think twice about fleeing from police in the future.
