Stun Gun Zaps Man Who Threatened Police

Police have to put up with a lot of nonsense and danger from people sometimes. Sometimes it is nothing but a lot of talk, but at other times there is a serious threat to their safety. Oddly enough, sometimes it is both. When police feel that their lives are in danger they have an option to use a stun gun to diffuse the situation. That is just what happened in this story I read.

A man at a California shopping center became agitated for some unknown reason. What is known is that he took his frustration out on the police. The man, visiting from another state, started to yell at the police. He was very upset and told the police that he was going to run them over with his car. Making threats to the police is never a good idea. This man soon found that out.

After making his threats to the police nearby, he started to stomp toward his car. Having had their lives threatened, the police tried to talk to him and told him to stop. He didn’t stop but continued toward his car. Feeling that their lives were in danger, one of the officers pulled out his stun gun and zapped the man. Needless to say, the man was arrested on the spot.

No one should ever have to threaten another person in such a way. People shouldn’t have to fear for their lives. However, people who have stun guns can feel a little safer because they have an effective means of stopping overly aggressive people. I am sure that the police officers who were there are very thankful that they had one.
