TASER Used in Carjacker Arrest
Theft is a very serious crime and when the theft involves cars, it can even be dangerous. Thankfully though, police officers are committed to finding the crooks responsible and arresting them. When they don’t cooperate, the police sometimes have to use a TASER to subdue them.
In Dallas police had to deal with just such a case. A blue jeep had been carjacked at gunpoint and the thief’s partner in crime followed the jeep. The carjacking had been reported and an officer spotted the vehicles.
The police officer attempted to pull the cars over while backup joined him, but the criminals refused to pull over. A chase ensued that seemed as though it would never end. Eventually though, the driver of the jeep had some problems and crashed the vehicle. Police immediately tried to arrest him, but he still refused to cooperate. They used a TASER in order to force him to comply.
The other vehicle however continued to flee. Police cars chased him for quite a while until they were forced to call off the chase. They released the information they had on the vehicle and the driver to the surrounding areas. Hopefully the other criminal will be found and brought to justice.
Maybe someday criminals will learn that crime just doesn’t pay. Perhaps the crook that was caught has learned his lesson and won’t ever do it again. And I wonder, when the other bad guy is found, will he put up a fight and be shot with a TASER as well? I may never know, but I am glad that the one they caught is behind bars now.
