Stun Gun Helps Arrest a Crack-Head Mom
Sometimes I just don’t understand people. They do things that just really make me question the intellect of humanity. One woman really made me question the intelligence of mankind. She was taken down by a stun gun after fighting with some cops over a piece of crack.
The whole ordeal took place in Manatee, Florida. Police pulled over Amy Solomon in a gold van because the tags on the van did not match the vehicle they were assigned to. She was then warned by the deputy who then asked her if he could have permission to search the vehicle. She gave him the go ahead and stepped outside with her children, ages 3 and 4.
Next, the deputy reportedly found a piece of crack between the seats. The deputy returned the children to the van and proceeded to arrest Soloman for cocaine possession, child neglect, using a false name, and then later, violently resisting arrest. Way to go, Solomon, and I don’t mean that in a positive way.
Solomon violently resisted arrest so, of course, the deputy had to warn her and tell her to stop resisting or he was going to use his stun gun on her. Solomon’s children, while she was fighting the officer, got out of the van and ran towards her. Another deputy put the children back in the van. She still kicked and fought, so the deputy used his stun gun to subdue her.
You would think that a mother would have some sort of sense to do something right. Instead, she lied to the cops by giving them a fake name, used drugs, and fought with the police. Thankfully though, their stun gun helped to keep the situation under control.
