Man Died From a Cocaine Overdose and Not a Stun Gun
Some illegal drugs cause people to simply lounge about and waste their lives. However, other illegal drugs cause people to become physically excited and raise their rages to incredible heights. When these drug users become irate and violent, sometimes the police need to use pepper spray and a stun gun in order to arrest them safely.
A man named James Foldi had been doing very large amounts of cocaine and had started to run wild in the Niagra Falls region. When police tried to arrest him, he put up quite a fight. They tried to deploy a TASER stun gun, but they missed him as he dove through a garage window.
They used pepper spray on him, but his body had become so numb due to the cocaine that he didn’t feel the pain at all. He continued his wild behavior as the police struggled to get him under control. He even started to bite officers and tried to beat up a police car.
They used pepper spray a second time, to no avail. They had to use a stun gun a couple of times to get him to the ground. Even on the ground after being stunned, he kept biting officers’ ankles. They used a stun gun one last time and they finally got the cuffs on him.
Sadly, several minutes after they had put the handcuffs on him, he passed away. The coroner said it was due to acute cocaine poisoning and not the electrical shocks. If it had been from the electricity, he would have died instantly.
This should be a warning to drug users out there. Don’t use drugs because they can lead to your death and it’s against the law.
