Blow Torch Wielding Man Arrested After Stun Gun is Used
There are some people who just don’t know how to behave when they are about to be arrested. They refuse to comply thinking that they will be able to use violence to get out of the trouble they are in. When they refuse to cooperate, law enforcement officers use a stun gun on them. This is just what happened in Manatee County, Florida when a man was being arrested for striking his wife.
The police received a call on a Wednesday about a man hitting his wife, but when police arrived on the scene the man had fled. His wife decided to press charges against her violent husband. Luckily for the police, they received another call the next day from the man’s place of work.
When the police showed up, Larry Kelly, the man who had hit his wife, was outside. When he saw the officers, he ran inside. An officer followed him inside and was surprised when Kelly ran over to an industrial sized welder and turned it on. He held the blow torch as though he was going to use it on the officer.
The deputy told Kelly what he was going to be arrested for and told him to put down the blow torch several times. Kelly wouldn’t listen, however. The deputy pulled out his stun gun and warned him to put down the blow torch again. When he didn’t, the officer stunned him and he was arrested.
There was no way that the man was going to escape the police. To think he was going to be better off by pulling out the blow torch was just silly. Hopefully he learned his lesson, and hopefully he has learned that he shouldn’t hit women.
