TASER Used on Drunk Woman Outside Theater

Alcohol is a double edged sword. When people drink it in moderation and are responsible, a lot of fun can be had. On the other hand, it is unhealthy to have too much and you can also get yourself into a lot of trouble if you over-indulge. One woman found this out and also learned what a shock from a TASER gun feels like.

Twenty year old Antonia Guzman had been drinking and was causing a disturbance outside of a theater in Boulder, Colorado. Some people at the theater had called the police and they soon arrived on the scene. Upon their arrival, the police officers were shown where the lady had wandered to across the street.

The police went to talk to her and when they approached her they could smell alcohol in the air. Antonia was so intoxicated that when the officers asked what her name was, she started to cry. They tried to lead her by her arm to a bench to sit down, but she started to slap the officer who had taken hold of her.

This violent behavior prompted other officers to drag her to the ground. But once she was on the ground, she took hold of one of the officers’ ankle and would not let go. She was warned several times that if she did not listen to what they said, then she would be shot with a TASER. In her drunken state though, her rebellion did not cease and so the police fired.

Once she had been zapped, she let go and the police put the cuffs on her. She now faces several charges, including a minor in possession charge. Maybe she will learn that she should wait until she’s of age to drink, and then she should drink responsibly.
