Police Use Stun Gun to Terminate Car Chase
You would think that if someone was allowed out of prison on parole that they would want to behave. You would think they would have learned their lesson. However, this man didn’t learn his lesson at all and when he wouldn’t comply with the police they used a stun gun on him.
Joseph Waters had been in prison for grand larceny auto, but had been released on parole at the end of March 2009. But his parole ended when an officer tried to pull him over for a routine traffic stop. Once he was pulled over, Waters tried to flee from the officer by getting out of his car, but the officer chased after him.
Waters amazingly got back into his car and led the police on a 15 minutes car chase. When he couldn’t go anywhere else and finally came to a stop, a police officer ran up to the car. He gave Waters several orders, but he would not obey any of them. Due to his noncompliance, Waters was shot with a stun gun and arrested.
They found out that Waters had been driving while intoxicated by drugs and that he had drugs in the car. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for his intoxication and had the barbed darts from the electroshock device removed. He received 12 tickets and summonses.
Joseph Waters didn’t learn much from his first stint in prison, but maybe he will this time around. While I wish him the best and really do wish that he would learn his life lessons, I doubt he will. Maybe his encounter with the stun gun shocked some sense into him though.
