Man Puts Up a Fight with the Police and Gets Shocked With a TASER

If you have never been pulled over, then please remember to stay in your car unless the officer specifically asks you to get out. If you don’t, then you could end up like this stubborn man. He refused to heed what the officers had to say and ended up shocked by a TASER. I am sure that you don’t want to have that experience.

Timothy Scott Dewhirst was pulled over in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for a routine traffic violation. Everything would have gone smoothly except that he decided he needed to get out of his vehicle. The moment he was out of his car, the police asked him to get back in. Dewhirst was foolish though and refused.

The moment he got out of his car, both of the officers got out of their police cruiser. They approached with caution while telling him to get back in his vehicle. Once they were close enough, they tried to physically place him back in the driver’s seat so that they could proceed with giving him a ticket. He still refused to cooperate and fought back, insisting that he remain out of his vehicle. Due to his non-compliance, the officers were forced to use a TASER on him. He was then promptly arrested.

When people get out of their vehicles during a routine traffic stop, the police get worried. They don’t know if the suspect has a gun or has intentions to attack them with a knife. They are trained to go on the defensive in that situation, and if the police believe that they are in danger, then the suspect is in more danger too. So, the next time you are pulled over, stay in your car until you are asked to do otherwise.
