Granny Got Knocked Over by a TASER

It doesn’t matter who you are, if you are pulled over and do not cooperate with the police, then you may get a TASER fired at you. This is especially true if you shove the officer, swear at them, and refuse to allow them to arrest you. One lady found this out the hard way. The twist is that she was 72 years old.

The elderly woman had encountered some road construction. The speed limit had been reduced to 45 mph, which was just what she didn’t want. She decided that she would just go around it by driving on the shoulder, which is against the law. She made another bad decision by going 60 mph while she drove on the shoulder.

An officer pulled her over and tried to give her a ticket. When he asked her to sign the ticket saying that she would appear in court, she refused. He had her get out of the vehicle and was leading her to his patrol car when she swung around, slightly shoving the officer while screaming that she would sign it; though she threw in some explicit language.

The officer told her to stand back, but she refused. He warned her that if she didn’t cooperate then he may use a TASER on her. When he tried to arrest her she struggled and tried to evade him. He pulled out the stun gun and warned her again but she wouldn’t comply. So, he did what he said he would do and zapped her, then arrested her.

She may have been elderly but that doesn’t mean that she can act with disregard to the law. Next time she will probably think twice before refusing to sign a ticket.
