Stun Gun Used on a Student and a Gun Was Found on Campus
Once upon a time, schools were safe places for kids. These days though, they have to be careful and school faculty has to be on the lookout for suspicious activity. It is sad that schools now have to have police officers and metal detectors on campus, but that’s just how it is. Tensions can get pretty high and sometimes a stun gun may be drawn when the officers aren’t sure what else to do.
This is what happened on a school campus in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. The morning started out with children going through the metal detector as usual. But something unusual happened when the metal detector alarm went off. An 11 year old girl was detained and a 9mm gun was found in her backpack.
The girl seemed shocked and claimed she didn’t know how it got in her bag. Though the staff believed her in the end, it still set a very different mood on campus that day.
Later in the day, an officer was patrolling the halls and saw a student that as breaking school policy. He was talking on his cell phone and the officer told him to end the call. It wouldn’t have been a big deal, but the student refused. Another officer tried to help the first officer escort the student to the principal’s office.
That is when the student started to put up a fight. He assaulted the officers and put up quite a fight. He struggled so much that they had no choice but to use a stun gun in order to get him to comply.
It may seem drastic, but if a gun had been found on campus and a student was putting up a fight, what would you do?
