Pepper Spray Subdues Man Who Fled Twice from the Police
It is never a good idea to try to run away from the police. If you are in trouble with the law then just own up to your mistakes. Being able to accept your faults is part of becoming a complete individual. Running away from your problems will only make them worse. Besides, if the law is involved and you run, then you may end up with a face full of pepper spray.
Sean of Laconia, New Hampshire was driving his car with an expired inspection sticker. A police officer on a bicycle attempted to pull him over. But when the car stopped, Sean fled from the scene on foot.
For some reason, one of the department’s sergeants called Sean on his cell phone. He was able to convince him to meet with the police to discuss the situation. Sean agreed to the meeting. But when he approached them in order to settle the problem, he got cold feet. He again fled from them. This time he wasn’t going to get away.
The police chased after him on foot. When they finally caught up to him, he allegedly struggled and they used pepper spray to stop his fearful flight. They then arrested him. He was charged with disobeying and assaulting an officer. He had also apparently violated a restraining order and was charged for breaking it, as well as being a habitual offender.
All of us have our faults and it can be difficult to rectify them and learn to be better people. But that is what life is about. We can all learn from our mistakes. I hope for his sake that Sean does just that.
