Porker Subdued With a TASER in Mayor’s Backyard
Animals are fascinating creatures. When they get out of hand and run rampant through a town, it could spell danger for the citizens. If this happens, then the police may need to get involved. When they encounter the animal and they believe that it may harm them or someone else, they may use a TASER to stop the animal.
This sort of thing doesn’t happen often, but it happened recently in Chipley, Florida. The odd thing is that a pig got loose and was running around town. A search party ensued in order to find the pig before it damaged anyone’s property. It was spotted but it was able to run and hide.
The search party got a report that it was in another part of town. They thought they had him cornered, but somehow it got away. It wasn’t long after that that the pig was tracked down to a backyard. It wasn’t just anyone’s backyard though. It was the mayor’s backyard.
When the police approached the pig, it started to behave aggressively. When it began to charge at one of them, the officer pulled out his TASER and fired upon the animal. It fell limp and animal control was called. The pig was then returned to its owner.
I know it seems a little crazy that such a fuss would be thrown over a pig, but they aren’t docile creatures. They have been known to be very violent, though most people don’t think of them like that. I have no doubt that the officer who was charged by the pig felt that his safety was in jeopardy. It’s a good thing they caught it when they did.
