Sister Uses Knife on Brother in Self Defense after Argument over a Computer

Okay, I have heard of sibling rivalry, but this is ridiculous. What is the world coming to when two people who are related become violent over something as simple as a computer? Arguing seems to be as high as the situation should escalate. In this bizarre story however, a young girl used a steak knife on her brother and claimed self defense.

Sometimes children fight over who gets to use the computer, sure. But the two siblings here took it a bit too far. What is even more ridiculous is that the brother was 21 years old and his sister was 15.

The story doesn’t say who hurt who first, but at some point the older brother hit his sister in the neck pretty hard. She allegedly responded by grabbing a steak knife from the kitchen. She struck out at her brother and cut him on his left arm. At some point she also managed to scratch him pretty good too.

The police were called to the scene after it had been reported that there was a domestic disturbance.

They arrested both of the siblings after seeing the injuries and hearing both sides of the story. The sister swears it was self defense, but she has to face domestic violence charges in juvenile court. The older brother was taken to the hospital and was arrested just after his release. He was also charged with domestic violence.

You would think that the brother would have known better. He was supposed to be the adult in the situation but he behaved very immaturely. Maybe after their stint with the court system they will think twice next time they disagree about who gets to use the computer.
