Drunk Driver Feels Sting of Stun Gun After Car Chase
Driving is a privilege, not a right. When you drive like a maniac and endanger lives then you shouldn’t be allowed to drive. Well, one man had had his license suspended for driving like a maniac but chose to drive anyway. In fact, he drove when he wasn’t supposed to while he was intoxicated. When police tried to arrest him, he didn’t want to cooperate. So, they used a stun gun to help change his mind.
It was nearly 2 p.m. when the Oregon City police received numerous complaints about someone driving dangerously. When police caught up to the car that fit the description of the one that had been reported, they tried to pull him over. Of course, the guy thought he could get away from them and continued to speed through the city.
The chase continued for another ten minutes. During that time the crazy driver nearly hit pedestrians and cars, endangering many lives in a vain attempt to avoid arrest. As he was endangering others, several patrol cars joined in the chase.
The chase ended when the drunk driver took a turn down a dead end road. When he got to the end, he tried to outmaneuver the police but failed. They immediately pinned his car to prevent him from driving anywhere. They then proceeded to arrest him, but he refused to comply with their orders. So, in order to get the drunken man off the streets, they used a stun gun on him. He was then arrested and will face a wide variety of charges in court.
The man didn’t suffer any serious or permanent injuries from the shock.
