A Man Without Legs Got Shocked by a Stun Gun
I do not envy the police and the job that they have to do. They have to deal with people who can be cruel and uncooperative almost every day. As many people know, when people get out of hand the police sometimes have to use a stun gun to regain control of the situation. Officers recently had to do just that when a man in a wheelchair refused to hand over his daughter to the authorities.
There had been several domestic abuse reports about the legless, double amputee. His daughter was only two and several people were worried about his behavior toward her. Since the authorities were notified, they responded in a usual fashion. They sent police and Child Protective Services to the home in an attempt to help the child. But that is when things got a little crazy.
When the police and CPS showed up to the amputee’s house, he didn’t want to have anything to do with them. When they tried to take his daughter away, he started to fight back. This sort of reaction is understandable since he is her father, but they were trying to do what they thought was best for her. The officers told him to comply and warned him that they would shock him if he didn’t. Since he continued to put up such a fight, the officers did what they warned they would do and used a stun gun on him.
Some people are upset about what the officers did, but he was hindering what the authorities were trying to do. On top of that, the officers warned him what would happen. In the end, there wasn’t enough evidence against the man. If he had complied in the first place, he would have never been zapped.
