Stun Gun Zaps Dog Fighting Ring Crony

I just don’t get why some people do the things they do, especially when it comes to harming animals. Dog fighting is a particularly cruel practice and yet people do it just so they can make some money. It always fills my heart with joy when the police bring dog fighting rings down. To be honest, I like to hear of those crooks getting shocked with a stun gun. It is as though they are getting a taste of the pain that they have helped to inflict on the dogs.

A dog fighting ring was recently broken up in the United Kingdom. The police arrested seven people that were involved in the ring. The youngest of them was 17 years old and the eldest was 44. The arrests went down pretty smoothly and no one was really hurt, which is good.

However, when the police were escorting the prisoners into the courthouse, one of them started trouble. He started to fight with one of the guards. But before he could get much accomplished another one of the guards pulled out a stun gun and shocked him with it. He received the strictest punishment of them all, but it was still only a year’s worth of community service.

The harshest punishments were only about six months worth of jail time. I personally think that the laws should be harder on these criminals, but a half a year is better than no time at all. They may think twice about starting a dog fighting ring in the future, especially the guy who got zapped.
