Machete Wielding Man Subdued by TASER Threat
In most cases, all it takes for an offender to reconsider their actions is to receive a threat from police that they will utilize their TASER devices in order to bring order to a dangerous situation. This was certainly the situation when it came to a machete-wielding man in New Zealand after he was confronted by local police officers.
The man in question who has a history of violence, plus mental illness was subdued by police after they threatened to use their TASER weapons on him once it became known that he was threatening his neighbors with a machete, and they were called in to assist.
However, when the offender in question saw the self defense device and heard the warning from an attending police officer, the machete wielding man instantly complied with the instructions that officers gave him, where he was then taken away into custody to await trial for a number charges.
This example of bringing peace to a troubled neighborhood was made possible by the sight of a TASER device. In most instances when an offending individual sees such a weapon they are quickly impelled to reconsider their actions, thus reducing the need to utilize the tool.
Even though these self defense devices that police officers carry on a regular basis are effective when they are employed, they are even more effective when a police officer simply holds the device aiming it at an individual with the full intention of using it if required.
And yet, while everyone around the world is aware of what these devices can millions of people around the world who find themselves confronted with a TASER weapon will generally try to avoid experiencing the shock from such a tool; which often means complying with what officers say.
While the TASER device wasn’t utilized against the machete wielding man, it did still facilitate to diffuse a situation that could just as easily have taken another more deadly turn for the neighbors, police and suspect involved.
However, it’s all thanks to the TASER weapon and the threat of using it that the lives of many were saved.
