Girls: Knowing How to Hit in Self Defense
Girls need to be ready to strike groins and gouge out eyeballs in self defense whether it happens to be at a friend, a family member or stranger, local law enforcement officials are saying.
Nowadays there are over 90 percent of sexual and physical assaults performed by an attacker who knows the victim. In most cases when it comes to girls there are many who have gone through most of their lives without actually hitting anybody. As a result they then grow up to become nurturers and caregivers.
Because of this when they are required to turn around and hit a boyfriend in the throat or cause severe pain by kicking at his groin when their safety demands it, they may find they can’t.
It is purely because of the constant danger that many women face in this day and age that self defense classes have been set up that go beyond the generic learning of how to take a man down by kicking him between his legs.
Self defense instructors Rottscholl and Fond du Lac Police Department Lt. Tina Braun provide essential safety classes that have seen over 7,000 women equipped with important skills when it comes to their safety, which enables them to lead safer lives.
Undertaken at universities, local high schools and women who are going through parole and probation, the two and a half PowerPoint presentation is designed to cover aspects that teach a woman on how to look after herself both psychologically and physically. Furthermore techniques on how to properly kick and punch are also acquired, while learning how to remove yourself from specific situations is also undertaken.
The instructors provide important personal safety tips that can be applied before any sort of assault takes shape. Some of these tips include keeping an eye on your drink while out, not going out at night by yourself, in addition to making sure you don’t drink too much alcohol.
The self defense classes are important for all women to consider as they present the opportunity to boost a woman’s self confidence, while also presenting ways on keeping yourself safe.
Even though assaults happen by people you don’t know, there are also instances when assaults take place between a husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend. However regardless of who is assaulting you, it’s important that you fight back.
This could either be in the form of utilizing the techniques you acquired through the self defense classes, or with the help of pepper spray. Whatever you do employ for your defense know that you will be fighting for your life; don’t let someone else try to take over because they believe you are weak.
