High Power TASER Devices under Police Consideration
Officers have recently revealed that they are considering the utilization of high powered TASER devices because of the short range weapons failures.
The self defense weapon which is under consideration would be capable of firing a shell from a 12 gauge shotgun that encloses a TASER unit inside. The pellets projected would ultimately deliver an electric shock similar to the tools now in use, but would not be wired to the gun itself.
Furthermore officers employing the unit would be allowed to fire it from up to 30 meters away from an individual compared to the tools used currently which only have a six meter range.
However the self defense devices that police are currently employing provide the best option when it comes to short range incidents.
Of course when these devices will be added in many of the police departments across the United States, and no doubt the rest of the world, is not yet determined. But when they are it will present a number of the officers who employ these tools with more ease at reaching a suspect.
Compared to the TASER weapons in use now, these new high powered devices would help officers at taking down an individual who may otherwise be too far away to reach. Not only that, but the high powered tools would also help to ensure an officer’s safety. They wouldn’t have to be in proximity to a person in order to subdue them, which is often the case with the short range weapons in use.
Nowadays the employment of a device such as this is seeing an increase not only in law enforcement, but also among the public who require a device for their protection. Because of this it doesn’t seem surprising that the design of an innovative high powered tool should come to light.
After all if the devices that are available have become so popular over the years it only seems natural that companies will want to further improve on what’s available by increasing a person’s safety.
And when such a device does become available it will provide individuals a new way of protecting themselves with more added distance involved.
