Dallas Police Department Launches i-Watch
This week the Dallas Police Department will be launching their new i-Watch program. The program has been designed to allow the public to send in tips about criminal or suspicious activity through their laptop or smart-phone.
The deputy chief explained that other cities already have an i-Watch program; however they are more focused on terrorism. Instead the Dallas program will be focused on maintaining neighborhood safety and keeping the level of street crime down.
As a virtual crime watch the program has the potential to see tip-offs from around 1.3 million people within the community.
Furthermore, the general public can also utilize the innovative feature of texting their tip-offs to police. The text feature provides individuals the chance to send anonymous tips to the police department. Dallas Police are also the only department to actually have the phone applications to provide this service.
This is an ideal service for people who may not want to be identified as a person delivering tips to police. It is also perfect at helping to tackle crime levels and antisocial behavior that may be strife in many areas.
While the new system will ultimately aid many officers when it comes to locating crime in Dallas, there are still other ways that people can implement in order to maintain their safety. This of course is by purchasing and owning a TASER device.
Simply owning your own form of non-lethal protection will often give people the added confidence they require if they are walking home along, especially at night. Not only that, but if you do become targeted it’s very unlikely that you will be able to alert police, unless of course you escape from your attacker.
But if you own a TASER device you will be able to fight back, which will undoubtedly teach your attacker a lesson when it comes to targeting people who seem to be defenseless. After all, when it comes to your safety, you should be able to walk down the street without having your safety compromised.
Don’t become a victim of an attacker; stand up for yourself and fight back with your non-lethal TASER device.
