Uncle takes Baby to Safety during Home Invasion
At first deputies believed that a kidnapping had taken place, but instead turned out to be an uncle’s frightened actions who was simply trying to protect his 7-month-old nephew.
The 18-year-old man was visiting his 20-year-old sister at Silver Hills apartments in Pine Hills when several armed men invaded her apartment and were heard firing shots. As a result of the danger involved the 18-year-old uncle instantly grabbed his nephew making their escape from the apartment. However 35 minutes after the incident he returned with the baby while deputies were still at the scene.
At first deputies believed that the young man had turned up at his sister’s along with the armed men where he confronted his sister after she answered the door carrying her baby son.
One way that this situation could have been averted was with the assistance of a TASER device. Quick and effective to employ the utilization of this self defense device has helped many home owners in the past at deterring invaders once they feel the shock it has the ability to produce.
Of course in order for this device to be effective, especially in a person’s home, is to make sure that it is always around you, or that you are capable of getting to it quickly when you require its help. Simply having it in your home where you can’t reach it easily defeats the purpose of owning one.
Nowadays, if a person’s home is invaded they should be able to defend what is rightfully theirs. Not only that, but if they have a family residing in the house then it’s important that they do what they can to protect them from harm. A TASER weapon can achieve this. Everyone has heard about these non-lethal tools, in addition to knowing the power that is behind them.
Simply holding this device will be enough to deter someone from committing a crime within your home, which is, after all, what you want.
But when it comes to the uncle, he simply assessed the situation and realized the risks involved. Because of this he realized the importance of protecting his nephew and without thinking about the ramifications in his actions he took his 7-month-old nephew to safety; a move that no doubt saved them both.
