Halloween and Bonfire Night Crime Crack Down
Enfield Police in England are adding additional police officers on the street in a bid to tackle the expected crime rise during Halloween and Bonfire Night.
This is a period during the year that traditionally witnesses a rise in the number of incidents on the streets of Enfield as thousands of individuals attend bonfire events and take part in the Halloween festivities.
In order to prevent people from committing crime, disorder and anti-social behavior, Enfield Police have launched Operation Autumn, which means that officers promise to be visible during these nights in a bid to protect residents’ lives and to tackle those committing offences. Additionally, officers will be focusing their efforts around schools and transport networks.
The operation which is a joint one with Enfield Police partners will see them working together to reduce crime levels during a period that not only effects Enfield, but other law enforcement agencies across the country.
Enfield Council who is also assisting with the push have delivered a clear message: they won’t be tolerating any bad behavior and will act quickly in order to protect the safety and quality of residents’ lives.
Of course, as police work around the clock in a bid to deter criminals from committing offences there are other ways that residents’ can look towards in order to maintain their safety. For example, they may want to consider purchasing pepper spray.
Small enough to conceal, this spraying device is ideal to own and carry around with you. If you happen to be attending a bonfire event, or live in an area that sees a number of people trick and treating then the spray canister will fit your needs perfectly.
Not only that, but it is easy to employ and while it may be a small device to behold, it can certainly produce the stopping power required if you should find yourself confronted by criminals during these nightly festivities.
While the police will be doing all that is in their power to prevent suspects from spoiling these annual events for others that doesn’t mean you can’t do something for yourself to ensure your safety is in your own hands.
