TASER Devices Are Safe for Self Defense

Nowadays, there seems to be widespread misunderstanding and confusion when it comes to TASER devices, and as a result, it’s important for people to realize the benefits that these self defense tools have at providing individuals who want to increase their personal protection.

According to a recent U.S. study of the use of the product across the United States, it suggests that the devices are a safe tool to employ for self defense. The study undertaken examined 1,000 cases of TASER device use and found that in 99.7 percent of them they resulted in no injuries.

Furthermore, when it comes to employing this device against a criminal, criminals are more likely to become intimidated by the device compared to a gun simply because the individual holding the tool is likely to utilize it without hesitation. Since a TASER device does not kill, that means the outcome for the criminal is a jail sentence.

When the stunning device has been employed it instantly incapacitates the target and offers them little chance for escape. When a law-abiding citizen employs the tool they will benefit from the protection that it serves, while their offender will not have the chance to fight or shoot back.

These self defense devices are considered by many law enforcement agencies and members of the public who employ them as safe. Before an officer is permitted to use a TASER device they are required to undergo extensive training, in addition to receiving a shock from the device itself. This allows them to understand the impact involved without any harm coming to them.

On the other hand, officers trained to fire a gun are not required to experience a bullet wound during their training before being allowed to carry and use a gun on duty.

If one of these tools lands in the hands of a criminal, the moment it is employed, confetti scraps at the site will quickly enable authorities to identify the owner. Not only that, but if one is stolen, then the dots can easily be connected back to the one who stole it.

Child protections are also built in, which means that a child who lays their hand on a TASER device won’t accidentally shock themselves or someone else.

Of course with all these safety measures in place there are still critics around willing to express their negative feelings about the devices. However, when it comes to law abiding citizens and their need to protect themselves, they are often left defenseless.

This of course should not be the way and if need be a family should be able to defend themselves if they are suddenly attacked without having to worry about ramifications involved.
