Why Stun Phone Viral Marketing Works

Last week a video appeared on YouTube that showed an actor playing the part of an MIT student who had developed a hardware device for the iPhone that enabled the mobile device to turn into a stun gun.

However, while it appeared to be the real deal many soon found out that it was in fact a fake publication.

Which ultimately begs the question, why bother with producing a viral marketing video on a device that does not exist?

The simple answer: Because a device like this is needed. The only reason this type of marketing works is because there is a need for the hardware. Of course, the iPhone won’t be able to produce anything like that yet, and until they do, there are other avenues that need to be looked into.

In order to gain the protection that many people are after there are devices available that give the appearance of a phone, but are in actual fact stun guns.

While the device may not actually be a working cell phone, it does provide important protection to those who require it when they most need it. But then, this is not simply about owning something that looks good and is fashionable, but something that will incapacitate a predator when your safety is at risk.

And until someone invents a working mobile phone that can turn into a stun gun at a click of a button other ways of maintaining your safety need to be looked at.

Of course, the way that modern technology is increasing, it won’t be too long before someone does come up with a hardware device that can be used on the iPhone or the next latest phone device on the market.

Even though the YouTube video may have been a fake, it does address the greater question which many have been asking for some time; and that’s whether or not someone will invent a hardware device that will answer everyone’s needs when it comes to their safety.

Billions of people across the globe use a mobile phone to communicate, whether by texting or talking. So it only seems natural that someday soon people will be able to employ their cell phones as stun guns too.
