Armed Robbers Target ATM

Two ATM armed robberies which occurred less than twenty minutes apart are seeing police searching for two hooded gunmen who robbed two people at they collected money from the ATM machines in West Ashley and Mount Pleasant.

Mount Pleasant Police explained that two armed gunmen robbed a man at an ATM. Because his car window would not roll down, the Bank of America customer left his car to walk up to the ATM machine. As a result he was approached by two men wearing beanie caps, black hoods and gloves.

Less than twenty minutes later, at the Wachovia, another armed robbery took place. An employee was undertaking a night deposit at the bank where he was robbed by a man wearing all black.

Police are now investigating to see if the incidents are related.
