TASER Device Employed on Car Theft Suspect
An officer was patrolling the area of Asheville Highway when he spotted a vehicle sitting in a parking lot in the early hours of Saturday morning. When the officer began to investigate a vehicle chase ensued.
The suspect inside the vehicle drove off exceeding speed limits of 65 mph onto the highway before turning into Beverly Hanks Center. The driver then continued into Patton Park before crashing into an embankment.
After realizing that the car was no longer working, the 23-year-old then got out of the car and attempted to flee on foot. The officer was able to overtake the suspect and subsequently employ a TASER device on him.
As a result, the suspect was arrested and taken away into custody.
Nowadays, the use of a TASER weapon is incredibly relied upon when it comes to apprehending unruly and hostile individuals, as well as those who attempt to escape from a crime scene. It is no longer possible for suspects to run as sooner or later they will eventually experience the shock from the non-lethal device. After all, it has been designed to apprehend those without inflicting deadly harm that other devices may present.
